A big change is coming to a building that’s been home to a series of banks over the past half-century in Binghamton’s business district.
Over the past few months, crews have been quietly working to transform the former KeyBank branch at 65 Court Street into a new restaurant.
Hamza Khan of Johnson City is excited as the finishing touches are being made to The Grove restaurant. He describes it as a casual dining establishment that will provide “something different” for families and students.

The Grove restaurant is expected to open in about two weeks. The KeyBank office at the site closed on June 25. HSBC, Chase Manhattan and First Niagara banks all operated branches at the site over the last several decades. Prior to that, the place had been occupied by a Jupiter discount store.
The dining area where the KeyBank lobby and ATM had been located will have seating for several dozen people. The kitchen was built in space adjacent to the old bank vault.

The restaurant’s menu will feature various items including various chicken and seafood entrees, as well as lamb chops, burger, fajitas and chicken wings.
Khan said he expects about 15 people will work at The Grove, which will be open seven days a week. He said outdoor seating on Court Street will be available when the weather permits.

The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list’s average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery.
